The Meeting was called to order by President Anderson.
The Pledge of Allegiance occurred.
A moment of Silence was observed for deceased members.
Roll Call was taken by Treasurer Hoffman. Delegate Boykin absent. All other board members present.
Previous months minutes were read by Secretary Wallace. A motion was made by Vice-President Kowolonek to accept the reading of the last months minutes. Second by Treasurer Hoffman. Motion passed.
The Financial Report was given by Treasurer Hoffman. Discussion Fixed Assets value of building at 810 Brighton Street, Newport Kentucky 41071, i.e. Union Hall. A motion was made by Vice-President Kowolonek to contact Don Stewart regarding accumulated depression of building asset. Second by Delegate King. Motion passed. COMMUNICATIONS President Anderson
Treasurer Hoffman discussed Ohio Christmas Family and information regarding making of donation to Bethany House will table discussion until the October 2018 Board meeting.
Received notice from the United Way organization request for donation. Motion was made by Delegate King to provide a $200 (dollar) donation. Second by Delegate Loerich. Discussion Treasure Hoffman will contact Yolanda Miller and research (agency) to direct donation. Motion passed.
President Anderson received a visit and information from Newport Fire-Fighters, Local 45 regarding a Bowling Tournament and upcoming fundraiser (for community programs) on Oct 13, 2018, request for a donation and participation. Motion was made by Vice-President Kowolonek to decline at this time. Second by Delegate Waller. Motion passed.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS President Anderson
Finance Treasurer Hoffman to look to setup Budget committee to review giving and expenses for each year.
Annual Picnic report out awaiting final billing notice from Coney Island. Updates will be provided at that time.
Meter Reading - Severance package approved for twelve (12) meter readers.
Election Committee new committee members needed two (2) Local 600 members needed to volunteer.
General Board vacancy for Local 600 Delegate position Area A, due to retirement (Delegate Memering.) More discussion regarding vacancies during the October 2018 Board meeting.
Call Center updates regarding Service Week and gifts and prizes for Call Center personnel.
GIS & Engineering Specialist Vice-President Kowolonek discussed promotion letter, team leads and changes within GIS due to recent updates to positions and roles and duties of Engineering Technicians, T & D Support Technicians and Leads. Also discussed Engineering Specialist I & II progression letter.
Enable Arbitration continues, next meetings scheduled for October 31, 2018 and November 1, 2018.
Rep & Delegate Dinner will discuss during the Oct 2018 Board meeting scheduled for 11-15-2018.
AFL-CIO phone bank volunteers needed for upcoming elections. Volunteer on personal time only, pay will be provided by National UWUA.
Delegate King discussed error in pay increase received and reported by member, HR has reviewed and corrected the issue for this member. Questions regarding ESA roles and no follow-up for any grievance.
Possible grievance after follow-up with fact-finding regarding information audit. Rep issue within accounts receivable.
Delegates Waller and King will follow-up with Coney Island offer for October Fest October 6, 7, 13, 14, 20 & 21 (for takers on limited amount of tickets to attend.)
Secretary Wallace made a motion to adjourn. Second by Delegate Loerich. Motion passed. Adjourned.
