GENERAL BOARD MEETING MINUTES
October 26, 2017

The Meeting was called to order by President Anderson.
The Pledge of Allegiance occurred.
A moment of Silence was observed for deceased members.
Roll Call was taken by Treasure Hoffman. Delegate Loerich absent, all other board members present.
Treasure Hoffman made a motion to dispense of the reading of the previous month’s minutes. Second by Delegate Memering. Motion passed.
The Financial Report was given by Treasure Hoffman. A motion to accept the Financial Report was made by Delegate Boykin. Second by Delegate Long. Motion passed. (Financial Report on file at Union Office.)
UNFINISHED BUSINESS – President Anderson
Annual Appreciation Dinner- President Anderson will need all names to be considered for attendance and reason by (Monday, October 30, 2017) he will then make final list. Information present for Oscar Event (Secretary Wallace) and Yard House (Delegate Long), Delegate Waller will send information to President Anderson by Monday, 10-30-17, for other venues for dinner. If no other information presented the consensus of the union board is to go with Oscar Event Center for, Thursday 11-16-17 (and to have the scheduled November board meeting at Oscar Event Center prior to dinner.)
By-Laws Committee: Revisions and changes submitted by the By-Laws Committee have been presented to be reviewed by Kelly Cooper (UWUA.) President Anderson will send the proposed changes and current By-Laws and old By-Laws, for the review.
Grievances: Meter Reading – Safety Incentive answer received – grievance denied. Board motion passed to not pursue to arbitration. (Board made decision to move forward regarding UEIP.) On 10-24-17, a meeting was held with the company to discuss.
Grievance in GIS- 3rd stage (review of answer for next board meeting 11-16-17), to make a decision regarding arbitration.
Dates have been selected for discussion with Dynegy regarding new contract for 2018.
Donation to the community for Christmas Families: Motion made by Vice-President Kowolonek to provide a donation of $500 per family for (1) Ohio and (1) Northern Kentucky (as done in prior years.) Second by Secretary Wallace. After discussion motion was passed. President Anderson will make the selection for the volunteers for this project.
Review of take-away from the Power for America Conference. Those who attended as the 1st conference found it to be very informative. Contacts were made to share information among other delegates within UWUA.
Delegate Waller will follow-up regarding OC’s & work locations (will contact LR) and order of location selections.
Delegate Waller made a motion to adjourn. Second by Delegate Long. Motion passed. Adjourned.
