The Meeting was called to order by President Anderson at the Oscar Event Center, 5440 Dixie Highway, Fairfield Ohio 45014.

The Pledge of Allegiance occurred.

A moment of Silence was observed for deceased members.

Roll Call was taken by Treasurer Hoffman.    Delegate Boykin – Absent.  All other board members present.

Vice-President Kowolonek made a motion to dispense with the reading of minutes for October 2017.     Second by Treasure Hoffman.   Motion passed.                         

The Financial Report was given by Treasurer Hoffman.   A motion to accept the Financial Report was made by Delegate Loerich.   Second by Delegate Waller.  Motion passed.  (Financial Report on file at Union Office.)


UNFINISHED BUSINESS – President Anderson

By-Laws Revisions sent to UWUA – Kelly Cooper (question regarding – revision regarding Local 600 reps attendance for membership meetings) – (Discussion)

Meter Reading and Safety awards – discussion with Local 600 legal representative (with regard to grievance filing, if this should include UEIP part of filing.)

Dynegy meeting was held on November 7, 2017 – may have a request for a contract extension due to possible sale of Dynegy to Vestra.   Proposals are typed and ready to go.   There will be meeting held prior to discuss.

President Anderson will have the Christmas Family purchases (donation from Local 600) – completed this year for Ohio and Northern Kentucky by volunteers Celeste Keeney (Ohio) and Christina Knobloch (Kentucky.)


Patty Memering - Answer regarding GIS - per letter dated October 26, 2017. (Per Vice-President Kowolonek) the issue is with the discipline, and the ratio of weighty jobs leading to discipline, and issue of apprentice being upgraded.

Per Capita Increase – $2.11 per month per member ($1.05 – to National, $1.06 – to Local), there may also be an increase from the AFL-CIO in the coming year.  Motion made by Treasure Hoffman to accept the full Per Captia Increase amount.  Second by Delegate King.  Motion passed.

Local 600 – planning to form a committee for Local 600 retirees.  Currently Gayle Redd, Linda Gallinari has expressed an interest.  Others Local 600 retirees will be contacted.

President Anderson received call regarding a possible grievance filing by IBEW, regarding pay cards and entering My-Time.

Extension on outstanding grievance in Billing and Orders.


·         Treasure Hoffman – Email regarding safety incentives in meter reading. 

·         Delegate Long  -  Information on Personal Days for Local 600 employee in  delegates area, will follow-up with Labor Relations

·         Delegate Memering -  (per Rep – Kim Cueto) – GIS group  team lead position to change to Sr  

·         Delegate King - Concerns regarding multiple issues within call center.

Motion was made by Vice-President Kowolonek to adjourn and reconvene (to vote on arbitration), after some issue can be discussed with UWUA membership in attendance this evening.  Second by Delegate Loerich.  Motion passed.  Adjourned to reconvene.

Members absent:  Delegate Memering, King and Boykin.
