Second by Lori Warren.  Motion passed.

UWUA National Union – Local 600 received 2 letters from the National Union.  The first letter described how the National Union could hold Mini-Regional Conferences.  These events would require that a minimum of 20 people attend. These mini-conferences would allow more locals to receive training in different areas like finances. The second letter informed all Locals that there is a rumor that there are discussions of a possible merger between the UWUA and the IBEW.
These rumors are false.  The UWUA has no interest in a merger.

Rep/Delegate Dinner – The annual Rep/Delegate Appreciation Dinner will take place on Nov. 17 at the Chart House in Newport, Ky.  Discussion took place to discuss the menu.  Lori Turner made a motion to purchase the Getaway Dinner Package.  Second by Patty Memering.  Motion passed.

UWUA Local 600 Annual Picnic – Discussion occurred about the annual picnic.  Only good remarks from our members were heard.

69KV Arbitration – The arbitrator returned a favorable decision concerning this Arbitration.

Old Calling Cards – Recently President Anderson discovered old calling cards.  After investigation, it was discovered that some of these cards were still active with balances on them.  These cards were donated to the Women’s Center in Hebron.

St. John’s Food Pantry – At the picnic this year, our local collected items for the St. John’s Food Pantry.  Also, there was a split the pot that collected $172 for the pantry also.  St. John’s Food Pantry sent a letter of thanks.

President Anderson thanked both Vice President Warren and Delegate Lisa Webster for all of their hard work and dedication to Local 600.

Delegate Memering – she discussed 2 members who may be working out of their classification.

Delegate Hoffman – he discussed the rumor that Local 600 had made an agreement to allow for IBEW members to work overtime in Meter Reading.  President Anderson has reached out and informed the Board that it was not true.

Delegate Wallace – she informed the Board that she has been getting questions about how ENABLE will affect the Clerical side of the Union.  President Anderson believes that management is not sure how ENABLE will affect them at this time.

President Anderson handed over the meeting to Vice President Warren.  President Anderson then left the building.
Vice President Warren informed the Board that she would be going over the findings of the Election Challenge Investigative Committee. The Election Challenge Investigative Committee members were Lynn Donnermeyer, Gail Redd, and Dave Manning.  Vice President Warren read the challenges from Mr. James Anderson concerning the 2016 UWUA Local 600 Election.  She then read the report of the Investigative Committee.
Challenge #1 referred to the fact that ballots were sent to members who were not eligible to vote in the election. The committee decided that after investigation, there was no basis for this challenge.  The committee could not find evidence that an ineligible member had voted in the election.
Challenge #2 referred to the fact that Mr. Robert Richmond had not been a UWUA Local 600 member in good standing for 2 consecutive years immediately preceding nominations as required by Article V Section 2 in the UWUA Local 600 BYLAWS.   After investigation, the committee decided that there was basis for this challenge and there was a violation of the BYLAWS.
Vice President Warren then read the UWUA National Union Constitution and the remedies that were available to the Local 600.
After discussion, Camille Waller made a motion to remedy the violation.  The effect of this motion would declare Mr. Robert Richmond as ineligible to run for office in the 2016 UWUA Local 600 Election. With Mr. Robert Richmond declared ineligible, Mr. James Anderson would then be declared as President of UWUA Local 600 since he would have then been unopposed on the ballot.  Mike Hoffman seconded the motion.  After discussion, the motion passed.  Discussion then occurred about the next steps in the challenge process.

A motion to adjourn was made by Camille Waller.  Second by Patty Memering.  Motion passed.
