GENERAL BOARD MEETING MINUTES
June 28, 2018

The Meeting was called to order by President Anderson.
The Pledge of Allegiance occurred.
A moment of Silence was observed for deceased members.
Roll Call was taken by Treasure Hoffman. Delegate Memering absent. All other board members present.
The Financial Report was given by Treasure Hoffman. A motion to accept the Financial Report was made by Delegate Boykin. Second by Delegate Long. Motion passed. (Financial Report on file at Union Office.)
Previous month’s minutes were read by Secretary Wallace. A motion was made by Vice-President Kowolonek to accept the reading of the last month’s minutes. Second by Delegate Waller. Motion passed.
COMMUNICATIONS – President Anderson -- N/A
President Anderson – requested the formation of the 2018 Local 600 – Annual Picnic Committee. Delegate Long will serve as the 2018- Picnic Committee Chair. Treasure Hoffman will serve as the 2018 Picnic Committee Co-Chair. Delegates Waller and Boykin will serve on the 2018 Picnic Committee. A committee update will be given at the next Local 600 Board Meeting. Board discussed the 2017 Local 600 Picnic Committee budget and attendance of membership at the event. President Anderson has requested Delegate Long, Committee Chair to provide information via email by 7-6-18 regarding location and date. A follow-up conference call will be provided after information is received for the Board.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS – President Anderson
UWUA – Regional 3 Conference / Training – overview and feedback. Overall attendees stated great meeting with lots of great information shared.
Dues Issues – issues still surround this issue. Those Local 600 members who did not have dues collected have now begun to have the past due amounts deducted. The amounts have been retro when the company failed to collect amounts. President Anderson has asked the company that these past-due amounts be spread out and not cause an “un-due burden to the members this has affected. There are still some in membership that have not been corrected to have collections.
Local 600 – Retiree Committee - President Anderson is collecting all contact information for those who plan to participate.
Job Evaluations – President Anderson discussed the New Corrosion Technician – job evaluation conducted on 06-05-18. All positions evaluated at an increase. He also discussed a revised job description for the System Integrity Technician Associate.
Enable – SS9 – possible dates for arbitration – 07-16-18 (review/preparation), scheduled 08-23-18. Updates regarding have been processed and forwarded to the Local 600 legal representative who will advise the local going forward.
Meter Reading – there has been no response from the company regarding information request. President Anderson will process for a 3rd stage grievance meeting next week.
Meter Reading – other issues will be discussed for finalization after 07-09-18.
Vistra - new benefits manual on file at Local 600 Union Hall.
Discrimination Testing (401K) - issue regarding amounts that unionized members can place into a 401K (without penalty.) President Anderson worked to resolve this issue due one (1) union brother was being penalized for amount contributed. Issue is now resolved with all unionized groups across the bargaining units now combined for this process of Discrimination Testing as it applies to 401K contributions.
New Positions- President Anderson discussed a new position “PAC Design Document Specialist”, (within Transmission.) The company meets with President Anderson, Vice-President Kowolonek and Secretary Wallace to discuss.
Delegate Boykin- discussed meeting with Tamela Gillard and processes that may come to all regions.
Delegate Long – discussed information request from a “fact-finding”. Also discussed grievance response in Mike Webber’s group.
Delegate Loerich – discussed grievance and fact-finding in meter reading regarding contractors.
Delegate Waller made a motion to adjourn. Second by Treasure Hoffman. Motion passed. Adjourned.
