GENERAL BOARD MEETING MINUTES
The Pledge of Allegiance occurred.
A moment of silence was observed.
Roll Call was taken by Treasurer Cockrell. All present.
The previous month’s minutes were presented by Secretary Kowolonek. Lisa Webster made a motion to accept the previous month’s minutes. Second by DL Wallace. Motion passed.
The Financial Report was given by Treasurer Cockrell. A motion to accept the Financial Report was made by Lori Warren. Second by Lori Turner. Motion passed. President Anderson discussed contacting Auditor Don Steward to conduct audit.
A-Kid Again- President Anderson discussed the A-Kid Again charity that Local 600 has donated to. Delegate Turner has helped to put artwork together for the event.
Gift Cards- President Anderson discussed the distribution of gift cards at the picnic and Membership meetings. When gift cards are given, the person who received the gift card must be recorded.
Dues Arrears- President Anderson discussed members who were in arrears with their dues.
Mail Room Outsourcing- President Anderson discussed the outsourcing of the Mail Room. No current UWUA Local 600 member would be affected by this outsourcing.
OC handraising- After a handraising within the OC job classification, a position would be posted at Hamlet district.
Contracts- President Anderson informed the Board that both contracts that Local 600 negotiated were on the Union website.
Control Tech- President Anderson discussed a meeting with the Company concerning the Control Tech group.
Job Evaluations- Treasurer Cockrell discussed the Company asking members to be involved with the evaluation process of others or be involved with interviewing for positions. The only time that members should be involved with either of these is the CPC job classification. Per the contract, they are involved with the interview process.
Union Hall cleaning- Treasurer Cockrell and President Anderson discussed the cleaning of the Union Hall. After discussion, DL Wallace made a motion to seek out cleaning companies to interview for the purpose of cleaning the Union Hall quarterly. Second by Shirley Cockrell. Motion passed.
Computer equipment- Treasurer Cockrell discussed the possible purchase of computer equipment for the President.
Vice President Warren- she discussed that UWUA members can only roll over 40 hours of vacation to the following calendar year.
Treasurer Cockrell- she discussed duties that will be changing within departments when payroll is entered by crews into their MDTs.
Steve Kowolonek made a motion to adjourn. Second by Mike Hoffman. Motion passed.
