GENERAL BOARD MEETING MINUTES
The Pledge of Allegiance occurred.
A moment of silence was observed.
Roll Call was taken by Treasurer Cockrell. All present.
The previous Month’s Minutes were read by Secretary Kowolonek. Lisa Webster made a motion to accept the previous month’s minutes. Second by Shirley Cockrell. Motion passed.
Treasurer Cockrell presented the Financial Report. Steve Kowolonek made a motion to accept the Financial Report. Second by Lori Turner. Motion passed.
Treasurer Position- President Anderson announced that Delegate Turner had expressed interest in becoming the treasurer when Treasurer Cockrell retired. No one else expressed interest. Mike Hoffman made a motion to have Delegate Turner replace Treasurer Cockrell as treasurer when she retires. Second by Lisa Webster. Motion passed.
Arbitrations- President Anderson discussed upcoming arbitration dates. He also discussed the Senior Work Management Specialist Arbitration that had taken place on March 2nd.
AOC & OC job postings- President Anderson and Vice President Warren discussed these job postings.
Transmission and Distribution separation- President Anderson discussed the upcoming Arbitration concerning the separation of Transmission and Distribution.
Internal Audit- Secretary Kowolonek would contact the Audit committee concerning this year’s audit.
Meter Reading pay- President Anderson discussed the pay differences within meter reading.
UWUA members working from home- UWUA members are not permitted to work from home.
UWUA Educational Regional Conference- President Anderson discussed an upcoming conference in Cleveland. He would like to have 2 reps attend this conference along with board members. It will take place June 1 -June 4.
Delegate Turner- She discussed how the company is setting goals within different departments. VP Warren explained that members should discuss how goals are set with management.
Treasurer Cockrell- She discussed the use of the company nurse. Delegate Webster voiced concern that using the company nurse could affect Workman’s Compensation issues. President Anderson would look into this issue.
Delegate Memering- She discussed a situation within the Mapping/GIS departments where members may be working out of classification.
Secretary Kowolonek made a motion to adjourn. Second by Lisa Webster. Motion passed.
