GENERAL BOARD MEETING MINUTES

The previous month’s general board minutes were read by Secretary Kowolonek. A motion to accept the previous month’s minutes was made by Shirley Cockrell. Second by Lisa Webster. Motion passed.
The Financial Report was presented by Treasurer Cockrell. She discussed various accounts and the annual audit. A motion to accept the Financial Report was made by Steve Kowolonek. Second by Mike Hoffman. Motion passed.

Compensation Committee- discussion occurred about compensation guidelines for board members. The committee would meet again to clarify questions.
Arbitration #367- President Anderson presented a letter from the company concerning arbitration #367. After discussion, Lori Warren made a motion to drop arbitration #367 if the company would clarify the reasons that the company would allow an interview team member to be excused. Second by Walt Dobbins. Motion passed.
Call Center- President Anderson, Vice President Warren, Delegate Wallace and Delegate Webster met with the new Call Center Reps.
Call Center- discussion occurred about the incentive pay in the Call Center.
Power Plants- discussion occurred about the sale of the company power plants and its possible effect on Union members.
UEIP- the percentage amounts for the annual UEIP were announced. For the members still participating in the traditional pension plan, the percentage payout is 1.69%. The members who are in the Cash Balance will receive a payout percentage of 3.54%. The payout will be on the March 7th check.
Membership meeting- the march Membership meeting will occur at the Bellevue Vets.
Delegate Dobbins-discussed the arbitration involving work within the Gas Department.
Delegate Webster-discussed grievance involving an exempt employee doing Union work in the Call Center.
Delegate Memering-discussed 3 members who are still displaced from their work classification.
Delegate Hoffman-discussed situation of Senior Meter Readers.
Secretary Kowolonek-presented how different local UWUA unions provide scholarships to their memberships. After discussion, President Anderson would like to pick a committee in March to look at presenting a Local 600 scholarship.
Cockrell-discussed Auditor Don Stewart and the fine job he has done for our
local. The local has saved over $3000 over the past few years using him
compared to our previous financial advisor.
A motion to adjourn was made by Lori Warren. Second by Lisa Webster. Motion passed.
