GENERAL BOARD MEETING MINUTES
August 23, 2018

The Meeting was called to order by Vice- President Kowolonek.
The Pledge of Allegiance occurred.
A moment of Silence was observed for deceased members.
Roll Call was taken by Treasurer Hoffman. President Anderson was not present, attending arbitration hearing. All other board members present.
Previous month’s minutes were read by Secretary Wallace. A motion was made by Delegate King to accept the reading of the last month’s minutes. Second by Delegate Boykin. Motion passed.
The Financial Report was given by Treasurer Hoffman. A motion was made by Delegate Waller to accept the reading of the financial report. Second by Delegate Loerich. Motion passed. (Financial Report on file at Union Office.)
COMMUNICATIONS – N/A
UNFINISHED BUSINESS – Vice President Kowolonek
Finance – Treasurer Hoffman – Portfolio is performing with a good return on investments per Matt Darpel’s recommendations.
Dues Issues – Local 600 has received payments from the company to clear ten (10) Local 600 members who were shown to be in arrears.
Meter Reading – President Anderson has received a letter from management regarding information request.
Picnic Committee – Delegate Long- Committee Chair, Treasure Hoffman –Vice Chair, Delegate(s) Waller & Boykin – Committee Members. At present, 86 Local 600 members have registered for a total of 138 attendees thus far; registration (R.S.V.P.) cut off will be 1 September 2018. The cost for entrance to Coney Island (for those attending without registration), is: Adults-$21.00, Child (over 7 years old) $16.00. Cost for Child (over 7 years old –with RSVP- $5.00.) Vice-President Kowolonek requests Secretary Wallace – to send a “reminder notice” to be posted on all union boards (R.S.V.P.) must be completed by September 1st to attend. Delegate King cancelled caters that was scheduled prior.
Grievance –Grievance #423 Meter Reading had discipline reduced. (Delegate Loerich)
Grievance – Grievance # 418 Meter reading – Vice President Kowolonek will be processing.
Call Center – President Anderson and Vice-President Kowolonek received updates regarding incentives in the Midwest Call Center. Going forward notifications will be provided prior to Delegate King.
Vice-President Kowolonek – Enable Arbitrations – 8-23-18 continues.
Job Postings – Discussion regarding number of Clerk B positions and number of positions at re-posting. Positions posted –for Engineering Specialist I and Engineering Specialist Assistants and job movement.
3rd Stage Grievance to be scheduled with Management regarding GIS Lead position and GIS Sr. Technologist position. (Review of positions to determine how work is being processed.)
Review of Internal/External Job Postings (how review of discipline is applied to both.)
Engineering Specialist (grievance) – waiting on 2nd Stage answer from Management.
Delegate Long – discussed meeting with management regarding Electric Operations Clerks duties.
Delegate King – questions from membership regarding pay increases due as of April 2019; based on current contract as we go forward in April 2019 negotiations with company.
Delegate Waller made a motion to adjourn. Second by Delegate Long. Motion passed. Adjourned.
